Future Orange Earn All-America Honors
July 6, 2010

Three members of the Orange women’s lacrosse recruiting class have been named to the 2010 Under Armour All-America team. Alyssa Costantino, Katie Webster and Natalie Glanell were among the nation’s top high school seniors who earned the honor and participated in the fifth annual Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic on Saturday, July 3 at Towson University.

Glanell, a native of Davidsonville, Md., started on defense for the South Team. She picked up a game-high four ground balls. Costantino and Webster came off the bench for the North Team. Costantino, a goalie from West Islip, N.Y., was credited with the win after recording seven saves in the second half, helping the North to a 17-16 victory. She also picked up two ground balls.

Webster had one shot on goal in the contest. A native of Syracuse and graduate of Christian Brothers Academy, Webster was also named to The Post-Standard’s 2010 All-Central New York Girls Lacrosse Team, as selected by a panel of local coaches.

The trio of All-Americans will join the Orange this fall. Syracuse finished the 2010 season with a 15-7 record and advanced to the Final Four for the second time in the last three years.
