This contest will conclude Hofstra’s season-opening three-game home stand as the Pride will head to Marist next Wednesday for its first road tilt of the 2013 season.

Hofstra earned another come-from-behind victory on Wednesday as they defeated Fairfield, 8-7, in overtime after trailing 3-0 to start the game.  That deficit came on the heels of the Pride’s 13-12 season-opening win over New Hampshire, a game in which Hofstra fell behind 4-0 to begin the contest.

Sophomore Brittain Altomare, who led Hofstra with two goals and two assists against Fairfield, leads the Pride this season with nine points on three goals and six assists.  Freshman Emily Considine is tops on the team with six goals.

Considine also leads the way with six ground balls (tied with sophomore goalie Emily Considine), while sophomore April Iannetta has a team-best 10 draw controls and freshman Shelby Milne has a team-high five caused turnovers.

Colgate is 2-0 on the season as well, having defeated Vermont (13-9) on February 16 and Marist (16-12) on February 19.
