Freshman attacker leads Crimson with 11 points in wins over Holy Cross & Princeton
Harvard's freshman attacker, Jennifer VanderMeulen, receives her first WomensLax.com Rookie of the Week honor, after scoring 9 goals and 2 assists in Harvard's last two games, including the Crimson's first victory over Princeton since 1992. VanderMeulen notched a hat trick, 2 draw controls, and a ground ball as Harvard topped Princeton 11-9 on Saturday. The Liverpool, NY native has contributed 44 goals and 8 assists to the Harvard offense this season, during an impressive freshman campaign in which she leads the Crimson in both goals and points. VanderMeulen and the Crimson return to action mid-week as they host Ivy League opponent and nationally ranked Dartmouth on Wednesday.
