Sophomore midfielder holds off leading scorers in two top-10 victories for the Wildcats
Northwestern sophomore, Maggie Bremer, is the WomensLax.com Co-Player of the Week for her defensive performances against sixth-ranked Syracuse and ninth-ranked Georgetown this past week. Against the Orange, the sophomore held the nation’s top scorer (through 3/24), Katie Rowen, off the scoreboard and without a single shot on goal. Against Georgetown, Bremer again matched up against one of her opponent’s top attackers, and held Jordy Kirr without a point or a shot in the contest. In addition, Bremer scored a critical free-position goal to break a tie game just after halftime. Bremer and the Wildcats are now 10-0 and will return to action next weekend as they take on the Duke Blue Devils in Durham.
